I am a hypotherapist because I have experienced the power of hypnotherapy for myself.
Hypnotherapy is my second career. My first career was in marketing for a national mail-order company in Manchester. This was a high pressure role which involved managing a large team, complex budgets and strict deadlines.
I have two beautiful children; both born with a diagnosis of autism and severe learning difficulties. My second child was born with a number of serious physical disabilities as well as his autism. I set about re-engineering my whole life so that I could give him the stimulation and care he needed to achieve his potential, while still working.
Eventually everything, as you can imagine, started to overwhelm me and I began to suffer from terrible insomnia. As a mother of two children who needed intensive support and as a full-time employee I knew medication was not the answer for me, so I visited a hypnotherapist.
I was blown away by how fast and effectively hypnotherapy worked its magic. So much so, in fact, that I decided to retrain as a hypnotherapist myself and start a whole new chapter of my life.
You can see that my own history and experience gives me a unique insight into the stresses and strains placed upon people – an insight that underpins my commitment to help my clients change their lives.
I am also passionate about helping parents help their children. Life for little ones is more stressful and demanding than ever before and the power of hypnotherapy for children to relieve anxiety, boost confidence and beat phobias is extraordinary.
I have now been a practising clinical and analytical hypnotherapist for more than a decade. During this time, I’ve chosen a path of continuous learning and development and added a wealth of complementary techniques, strategies and therapies to my skill set. I am accredited by a number of professional bodies and my qualifications and commitment to continual professional development ensure the highest standards of professionalism and success.
I am also qualified in the use of WSN Counselling (Warrior, Settler, Nomad Counselling), Brainworking Recursive Therapy® (BWRT®), and Psy-Tap. While none of these therapies are as well-known as hypnotherapy, they are all incredibly powerful tools in the building of a treatment plan for each of my clients, allowing me to develop wholly bespoke treatments for every adult and child I work with, with the objective of delivering fast, lasting results.
I am registered with The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. This registered body ensures high standards of professionalism, giving you reassurance and trust.
My qualifications and credentials are many but I train continuously to ensure I deliver the ultimate service to my clients.
My normal hours of operation are:
Monday to Friday 9am-7pm
